PARADE INFORMATION - VENDOR INFORMATION

PARADE DATE: June 13, 2026
START TIME: Parade steps off at
IO AM sharp.

DRIVER OF VEHICLE/FLOAT
For safety concerns we ask that Parade participants,
please DO NOT enter the parade line-up by traveling East on
Hwy 32/Main Street and making a U-Turn or by turning around
in ANY of the front High School parking lots. We ask that
you come from the direction of Lovers Lane Rd so that you
are traveling in the direction of the parade route. If you
are traveling from the East side of town, please take Robert
B Lee and make a left onto Lovers Lane, and then left onto
Hwy 32/Main St. We will use one of the lots for staging our
Horse Riders.
PLEASE DO NOT use Peach Ave. or Starksville Ave. to travel East onto Hwy 32/Main Street as these roads will be blocked off at 32/Main St.
• APPLICATION: Completed and signed parade application, entry description along with the entry fee must be submitted to Recovery & Restoration House, Inc. by the registration deadline of Thursday, June 1, 2024 by 4:00PM.
The parade entry must adhere to the application description, be entertaining to all ages and decorated in festive and fun commemorative style holiday.
NO entry will be allowed in the parade line-up without the completed & signed application.
All floats need to be in assigned location by 9:00AM.
• PARADE ROUTE: You must travel the entire parade route from beginning to end. Do not disburse until you have reached the end of the designated parade route.

NO THROWING OF CANDY OR ITEMS IN THE PARADE:
To ensure that the parade is coordinated with SAFETY as our
top priority, Throwing candy or other items from your entry
is NOT allowed. We do not want anyone injured running into
the Parade Route to get candy.
However, we encourage you to have walkers walk along the
route beside your entry to HAND out candy or specialty items
to the parade attendees.
• CHILDREN 12 YEARS AND YOUNGER: Floats with children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by 4 adults (2 adults on each side of float) walking beside the float.
• MUSIC: Any unit using sound must play jazz, contemporary gospel or black history music, gospel rap only. NO stopping at any time during the parade route. Failure to comply could result in removal in future parades.
• PARADE PARTICIPANTS: Please make sure ALL of your parade participants have read these rules/guidelines.
• PARADE MARSHALS: Parade Marshals have the authority to seek the removal of any person or units from the parade, when, in their judgment, parade guidelines are being violate.
